BACK INTO LIFE WITH TUTOGEN
What is a graft?
In medicine, a graft is the transplantation of organic material.
A graft can consist of cells, tissue, organs or bones.
In contrast to grafts are implants, which are artificial parts that are inserted into the body, e.g. prostheses.
Tutogen grafts in orthopedics and surgery — a step forward
For over 20 years Tutogen bone grafts have been successfully implemented worldwide in orthopedics and accident surgery. In the course of their production, TUTOGEN products are subjected to the Tutoplast® process of tissue preservation.
Bone grafting is usually necessary when there is a great a loss of healthy bone substance. The general practice is to recover a patient's own bone material in a second operation. However, this procedure adversely affects and stresses the patient unnecessarily and weakens the healthy structures in the patient's body. With its allogenic bone tissue, TUTOGEN offers a safe, well-tolerated and high-quality alternative to autologous bone donations or synthetic bone substitutes. Tutoplast® Spongiosa is authorized with approval number 53968.00.00.
Tutogen grafts – for quality of life
We offer replacement tissue in the form of membranes and bones for different areas of orthopedics and surgery. These tissue grafts contribute towards the rapid anatomical and physiological restoration of tissue defects in patients.
They come closest to autogenous tissue in their compatibility, convertibility, elasticity, tear resistance and handling and are therefore a safe and proven alternative.
